Bosch 13P Water Wizard TF325NG1TR
We recently attended to a Bosch 13P water wizard. While this system is no longer made, it can be regularly serviced and maintained by our Jim’s plumbers. The water wizard range of hot water heaters is still in manufactured for the 10P and 16P units. The 10P unit delivers up to 10 litres a minute while the 16P delivers up to 16 litres a minute.
Both 10P and 16P units can be connected to either natural gas or LGP and must be installed on the outside of the home. This does make it easier when it requires service and repair or replacement.
We recently attended to a water wizard 13P that not been running as best as it had in the past and the customer wanted us to come out to have a look and make sure the unit was safe.
As we had one of our plumbers on another job not too far away, we were able to have him there within the hour. Once the plumber arrived, he noticed the unit was in quite a good condition on the outside as it has been kept under a verandah, keeping it safe from the elements.
All this unit required was the filter to be cleaned, while there the plumber was at the home, the plumber made sure everything was okay inside the unit, once completed the plumber gave the unit the all clear and was once again on his way to his next job.
During the time that the plumber spent servicing the system, the customer noticed that sometimes he felt like there wasn’t enough hot water. The plumber was able to provide the customer with a free no-obligation quote for supply and install a new hot water system so the customer could upgrade as they had not chosen this system to be installed, it had come with the house.
While there is nothing wrong with the Bosch systems especially the 13P, understand the customer concern as to looking into upgrading the system as the customer was planning to expand her family which means more demand for hot water.
As the customer liked his research on the Bosch brand, he was happy to stick to this type of system. We recommend the Bosch Condensing range as these systems are very energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
While the condensing range is in principle like other instant hot water systems, it is slightly different as it captures the heat from the exhaust gas in a second heat exchanger, preheating the incoming cold water before the tap is even turned on. The condensing range can also have controllers installed with them, making the water temperature easier to control so that there is less chance of scalding, this feature is great for growing family’s, like our customer here.

Bosch 13P Water Wizard Pilot Light Not Working
We recently received a phone call from a customer who had seen our vans across the road recently. The customer told our booking staff that their hot water system’s pilot light was no longer working and was not re-lighting. He said because of this there was no hot water coming out of the taps or shower.
As the customer needed to get to work, he needed to have the hot water up and running for his self to shower and his family to use while he is at work.
Luckily we had a plumber able to get to the home without delay and arrive within the hour. The system was a Bosch water wizard 13P causing all the problems. The customer was correct, the pilot light was refusing to relight no matter how much the customer or qualified plumber tried to relight the unit.
All of our plumbers deal with hot water systems each and every day for a variety of different brands but do see Bosch branded hot water unit very regularly, making our plumbers fully equipped to deal with water wizards. The plumber quickly found the problem to be a faulty thermocouple.
Every single one of our Jim’s plumbing vans are fully stocked with most required parts for most systems, saving our customers and plumber valuable time.
Once the work was completed the customer asked the plumber to do a gas safety check throughout the house while he was there.
As the plumber was finished once again he then left the customer with a magnet for the fridge and placed a sticker on the hot water unit with our number 1300 068 480, for the customer to give us a call when the unit needs to be serviced next.
The next day, the customer received a phone call from our customer service staff as we do with every customer, to ask for feedback. So we can grow as a business and to make sure they were 100% happy with the service provided by both our bookings staff and the plumber how attended.
The customer was happy with the plumber and was impressed with how knowable he was about his hot water system. He also told us that he was pleased with the flexibility of payments options as he had not yet been to the bank so was unable to pay cash but instead used our EFTPOS machine which accepted his MasterCard as it does with all major card providers.
