Bosch Water Wizard 10P Hot Water Repair Service
A new customer called Jim’s Plumbing as their Bosch Water Wizard 10P continuous flow hot water heater was producing lukewarm water and needed a repair. They had checked that the pilot light was still on and confirmed there were no water leaks.
Traditionally, the Bosch Water Wizard 10P is best suited for single bathroom homes, and smaller homes or units. They provide instant hot water and are incredibly economical. This Bosch product comes with a 2 year warranty on parts and labour, and 10 year warranty on the heat exchanger.
The customer asked if there was a plumber available the next day for their Bosch 10P hot water repair. The call centre staff advised that we could have a fully qualified plumber to their property on the same day. We could even have a plumber out within the hour! They were more than happy to book the job.
Troubleshooting Bosch Gas Hot Water
On inspection of the Bosch unit, Jim’s Plumbing plumbing technician found that the Bosch gas hot water section was in need of troubleshooting. What exactly does that mean? Essentially the internal parts had worn down.
That required a replacement of the diaphragm within the brass body, greasing the gas valve, as well as a replacement of various o-ring and body washers. The troubleshooting upgrades improved the Bosch gas hot water system instantly and allowed for greater temperature regulation. We recommend a routine maintenance service is carried out at least every 2 years.
In this case, we were able to provide a fast, long term solution after troubleshooting the Bosch water heater! The parts we needed for the Bosch Water Wizard 10P were carried in our van which also made it an incredibly efficient response.
Additionally, we often discover a pilot light that won’t light, or stay ignited. From time to time it can blow out on windy days, but poor gas flow or a clogged pipe can also impact efficiency.
Sometimes the thermocouple, which is a safety device, can become faulty and require replacement.
