So, my toilet suite is leaking. How come this is?

A leaking toilet can sometimes be hard to notice. Unless it’s leaking a lot.

If you’re not sure, you can put a few drops of food colouring into your toilet cistern and wait without flushing it. If any of the  colouring finds into the bowl, or you can see or hear water leaking from toilet, contact us straight away.

The base rubber, the water inlet pipes, the flapper valve, the ball valve and many other parts will all wear away over time. Eventually failing and letting water run out of the cistern.

These are the most common parts that will be causing your leaking toilet. Your attending Jim’s Plumbing toilet expert will be able to identify which ones are leaking and which ones are at risk of leaking.
